Where to Park?
Over the last several years in Concord, secure bicycle parking (previously provided by the once ubiquitous parking meter stand) has become challenging to locate. Due to the dearth of adequate secure parking, cyclists will often use what is available. The following parking job at Warren and State Street across from the Y was spotted on 3/29/2013.
Near the state house some of the parking meter stands remain, but at least a few are no longer secure - that is - the parking meter stand can be lifted up.
There are new bike racks being installed, or planned for in the public garages. At the Capitol Commons garage there are two recently installed bike racks. The security of the location remains questionable, due to the remoteness at the Storrs Street entrance. This one has been re-purposed to lock up a snow blower. Observed 3/30/2013.
As a cyclist, I shop where I can find secure bicycle parking. Here's one business who shows their support for bicyclists by providing convenient and secure parking.
