Less Car More Go Documentary Fun-ded 5/10/2014!
On Saturday May 10th, 2014 the kickstarter campaign wrapped up. Stretch goals one and three pushed the funding to over $60K. If you missed the deadline you can contribute via the PayPal "Donate" button on Liz Canning's site.
Stretch goal 2 for 1000 backers would have secured a Metrofiets bike for a low-income family. Metrofiets will instead make Emily Finch whole by replacing the stolen bike she uses to pedal her family of six.
Xtracycle will be providing a bicycle to a low-income family. Both of the families will be filmed for inclusion in the documentary. Read more about it on Patch or see the Kickstarter Update #14.
A summary of the last days of the Kickstarter campaign include:
702 backers, 18 hours to go, Stretch goal $60K met!
553 backers, 3 days to go, Stretch goal $50K met!
484 backers, 4 days to go, Documentary is Fun-ded!!
On 4/23 there were sixteen days to go and $18K of $40K goal to raise.
With four days to go the $40K goal was met.
Less than two days later the first stretch goal of $50K was met!
Now there's a new stretch goal for 1000 backers. All it takes is a single dollar ($1) pledge to participate!
A family is going to get a Metrofiets that could very well transform their lives!
